In fact I'm working on making the wood furniture for my AR right now. We're also looking into the possibility of making and selling wood furniture for AR's. We'll have some updates as the project comes along.

There's a guy on another forum that I read who is in the process of building wood ar furniture.

Not mine, it's off the CavalryArms website, but I just love this one for some reason... Something about having the pink furniture and all the flowery stickers and stuff, while still being able to kill a m'fer.

I did this for my wife last year...

The offside selector markings are in ,her and my, native language; Ojibwe.

I did this one for the shop at the same time. I was told to do "something different, that would stand out." This is what I came up with...it was aptly named "Pam" due to the barb-wire accents and gold colored trigger and selector. We made a bayo for it from a chopped mil bayo, with a cell-phone which had the antenna replaced with a long nail file.

Here is my AR plinker, 20" national match barrel fully fluted, JP modular trigger and a Enidine buffer. I have a variXII 4.5x14 target scope for her.
Duracoat Magpul FDE on the major portions and a custom Duracoat color mix approximating "Nomex flight glove" color on the latchs, releases and pins, wheels and little stuff, and then a matte clear.

I can appreciate the hard work and imagination put into these rifles, but I like mine old school black. Ya know, the "black rifle".

BTW, the Texas themed gun is an abomination.

ETA: Here is one I did for my SO a while back, I sold it on the EE to some lucky person, now I have to find time to do another what that is more "tactical" with the same pink camo job...

I keep finding myself REALLY wanting a wood stocked AR. Where do you get that stuff? Somebody said ironwood but I looked and didn't see them. I've got the perfect gun for that acutally too

This is a "clear" hard anodize after I had polished it to a chrome like finish (see earlier posting for those pictures). Gives it a nice metallic look without being overpowering.

sadly cav arms doesn't make all the cool colors anymore. But duracoat would prolly be a simple solution to that.

Give them a call or email and tell them what you are looking for. They can put you in touch with a dealer.

If you are looking for one of the colors they do them in smaller batches. They might be able to throw you on a list to let you know when they make the next batch.

I just finished this "Special order" for my 10 year old daughter.

Tactical Solutions AR-22 Upper with Spikes Tactical Lower (I like that spider)

Parts kit that has been laying around and a little Pink Duracoat. A disassembled rifle takes up a lot less room than a disassembled motorcycle. (My *other* expensive hobby)
