Bad azz rifle bro. Did you build it? What color is that rail. Looks more like a "burnt copper" , (I just made that up;), than a burnt bronze like your receiver. Hell, I like it. Confirm what color your rail is for me please...

Does Cerakote have hardness equal to; or better, than the standard  Mil-Spec anodizing? If so, I'm sold on it for my next build.

I did built it.  Geissele rail, PWS flash hider, 10.3 Daniel defense barrel, LMT BCG, Motiuk Upper/Lower (Canadian company)
It's just the "Sand" color option from Geissele. Apparently the way they Anodize the rail it's never the same shade

OK, Here she is... My Ruger 556E in Midnight Burnt Bronze by controlled Chaos Arms.
I asked Michael at CCA to mix a "Midnight" burnt bronze or darken the standard Burnt Bronze Cerakote with some matt black to insure that my rifle wouldn't come out looking too shiny or gold.  I didn't want a high contrast between the black parts and the new Cerakote... To be completely honest I was afraid that the finish might turn out looking cheap or cheesy. If a subdued color was what I asked for, It was exactly what I got.  In fact, when I was unboxing it and the rifle was still wrapped in cellophane, I wasn't even sure if it had even been Cerakoted. It's Amazing how different this finish can look under different lighting conditions (Indoor light, direct sunlight and flash images)...I took about 20 pictures with my iPhone (I should use a real camera) and got shots of her looking Green, Tan, Black, Brown and Bronze.
While I'm still getting used to the color that I asked for, the finish is absolutely flawless. If I get another custom Cerakote job done it will definitely be with CCA. Now that I've seen the quality of their work firsthand, I'd probably be a bit more aggressive with the color choice.
What do the masses think?

One last addition, MFT Battlelink Minimalist Stock.
I wanted to shave a tiny bit more weight off of my Ruger. The MFT BMS is only 5.8oz and feels the same to my cheek and shoulder as the heavier Magpul ACS did.  The SR-556E was not built to be a light and fast gun by any means. To me it's more of a "Sport Utility" rifle, built to shoot straight and work well under any conditions.  The current rig is 7.8lbs without optics- That's not too bad for an all metal, piston driven AR with a hammer forged 16" heavy barrel, rail covers, BUIS and an ambi sling plate.

Burnt bronze, Its amazing how different it looks from inside light to outside sun shine.

The Upper and rail is from Gibbz tactical, I was looking for a side charge upper and found this one. The charging slide will stay stationary after you charge it.

No, not that I am aware of. It is very easy to get done, I wouldn't let not having a factory option stop you from getting one on your rifle/pistol.

I got my Burnt Bronze CMR from Weapon Outfitters.  Got the upper & lower straight from Aero Precision pre coated in BB, as well.  The rail is a little darker, but not enough to really matter...at least to me.

here's a few pics.  My buddy and myself only just finished the build
Gen 2 Noveske lower and upper (vltor) and mkiv rail were already ceracoated.  There is absolutely no wiggle between the upper and lower receiver.
barrel is Noveske lowpro 14.5 barrel with noveske logo'd gasblock with surefire socom brake pinned to 16.1.
SSa-e trigger
Magpul ctr stock pinned
Norgon ambi mag release
Magpul mbus pro buis
Youngs m-16 FA BCG
spikes tube and lpk  (really I only needed a few pins and spings
Noveske take down pins and end plate
Noveske dust cover door
Eotech G33 and Exps-3
Noveske logo'd raptor CH
ergo grip
still need light maybe raid and laser unit
The gun balances very nicely

I really like the burnt bronze color. The other day on a website there was an AR with  what appeared to be burnt bronze, but it had a green tint to it, while it still had the metallic brass shine.

Someone said it might be MRE- Multi-regional Earth.

Is thre a cerakote mix for this color?

Any shade of burnt bronze looks great though.

Thanks,
Jackal
