Hey y'all
Have been thinking that I would build my own 10mm upper receiver, just for the fun really. If I was able to get a 10mm barrel, all I would need would be a bolt carrier assembly (probably Oly) and one of their extractors put into the receiver. Would it then function with the new Oly 10mm mags? That being said, does anyone know where I could find a 10mm barrel (maybe direct from Oly, although they didn't have one on their website)? Also, how reliable would it be? Thanks |

Quoted:
Any decent gunsmith can do it. I wouldn't expect it to cost much more than about $50-$75. Oh thanks I'll look into having that done. would that reduce the length of the barrel at all? As in, if it starts off as 16, if the chamber gets longer does the legal barrel get shorter or are they considered one? |

K thanks again I was just wondering if the legal barrel length changed. Does anyone have any replies to my other questions? |

Quoted: No the barrel length doesn't change. Barrel length is measured from the breech to the muzzle, doesn't matter how deep the chamber is. 40 S&W AR barrels aren't exactly easy to come by either though, so might as well just go custom and have someone make you a 10mm barrel. Personally, I'd go DI over blowback for the 10mm. Also, I'd use a Bazooka Bros. or CNC Guns lower so that I could use grease gun mags for it.Really no one? Maybe I'll try on the pistol caliber forum. |
