Thanks guys and honestly the color was purley accidental, but I think I can replicate it now. I just used spray paint in Khaki, Olive, and Earth brown but mostly Olive and Khaki which is how the grey came out.

It has a nice speckled appearance. You should do a post in refinishing forum and link here so we don't derail this thread. Nice work. I'm wanting to rattle can one of my rifles some day.
