What size drill bit is required for 1/2x28 threads? I'm working on something and I need to drill a hole for 1/2x28 threads.

I'll try not to make this over complicated, being that the 1/2 -28 is not your standard run of the mill taps....The tap calls for a min. dia. of .4610 to a max of .4670, a 1/2 x 20 calls for a 29/64. which is .4531, if thats too tight you can go to a 15/32, which is .4688, i would try both on a test piece to see which one works best for you...Tom
