I had the same prob with my RRA lower and parts kit. Mine would not come out! COuldn't turn the selector, couldn't wiggle the detent out, nothing! I tried lubing it, heating it, freezing it, everything. Finally with the pistol grip and spring removed I used a hammer and punch to forcably remove the selector which in turn freed the detent. Be mindful though as if you have to resort to this the detent will come flying out, so you may want to cover the hole with a sandwhich bag or something as to not loose the detent. But I would try the lube first. Upon reassembly obviously be sure to lightly sand the detent and ream the passage. A drop of CLP or something probably wouldn't hurt either! -Hershey |

Non-marring rubber mallet works great but, as others have stated, try lubing with a good lube or penetrating lube first. You can always try laying the assembly in the freezer for 30 minutes or longer if needed ......... works great for getting a freshly cured bedding job to release also. Just go slowly and look at what you are doing from all angles. |
