Since no one else has jumped on your thread yet, I will.

Great looking rifle.  Really cookin'!  And I'm not just saying that cause it's sitting on a stove.

Excellent first shot at building, I don't think you could have done better.  Way better than my first attempt.

Great first post by the way.

Nice first build.

I'm also working on my 6.8 project similar to yours but with different brands of components.

Make sure you check for proper staking of the bolt carrier key screws.

What backup iron sights are you planning to use?

Since you're already hooked in building your own it won't be your last.

Thanks for the feedback!!!hI picked up a Bushnell 10x40 Elite 3200 Rifle Scope for a good deal, so that will do for now.
As far as back up irons go… same thing “saving my pennies”, but I think that I will go with the ARMS 40 low-pro in FDE and a MI rail mounted flip front unless I can save enough pennies for the TROY set in FDE.

AND YES…
A 5.56 shorty is already in the works!
