I've been reading the site for a few weeks and planning a build.  I tend to go from one thing to the other so I decided to go really cheap on this first one, and if I like it build a better one next time.  I have always had what I would consider more traditional weapons, but those ar's sure do look fun.  Anyway this is where I am at so far, I found a Delaware Machinery lower pretty cheap locally, decided to go with it since everyone is asking me 25 for a transfer.  I am gonna get the moe lower build kit from Palmetto, so I am right at 200 in a complete lower.

Here is where the question comes in I see several sites with really cheap uppers that say they are CMT components with Wilson barrels they are 1:9, which isn't really ideal but for the price I can live with it.  Whats the word on CMT I don't see it mentioned around here, are they just trash, or servicable?

CMT is great stuff. They have been building parts for OEM manufacturers for decades and are the parent company of Stag––literally. The father owns CMT and his son runs Stag Arms.

Good to hear on CMT.  Have any of you guys tried one of those low priced uppers, several sites have the chrome moly barrel for 369 and the chrome version for 390.  Just seems like too good a deal compared to the prices on everything else
