Hey all. I'm waiting for my stripped lower and wondering which lpk is out there with a quality trigger. I'd like to stay under $200. I know it's too little for a serious trigger. My build is intended to be general defense and hunter. I plan 5.56 and 6.8 uppers. The lower is the zombie sold by Rainier Arms- I couldn't resist the Selector switch modes: Safe, Dead and Undead.
After this, I'll be asking about which stock. Thanks, john Good site by the way. |

Exactly what I was getting at. |

IME, with a few DPMS and Stag LPKs, the triggers are all about the same. A bit of moly grease on the engagement surfaces and a few hundred rounds will help them smooth out, but they'll still be pretty heavy.
I'd recommend saving your money and dropping a Geissele SSA in there. A two stage trigger feels somewhat like a Glock trigger. On a quality two stage like a Geissele, the second stage break is much crisper than a Glock though. You have the first stage which is a bit of smooth, relatively light travel. On the SSA, you'll feel a "stop" when you get to the second stage. A bit more pressure and the trigger breaks. A single stage trigger is more like a 1911 trigger; there's little to no movement before the trigger breaks. |

I'm an absolute newb so take everything I say with a grain of salt. I have read good things about the rock river arms 2 stage trigger; I also am building an Ar––bought my lower at a gunshow yesterday. This is what I got for it... An EXCELLENT deal IMHO http://www.joeboboutfitters.com/AR0120NM_RRA_Receiver_Parts_Kit_Two_Stage_Trigger_p/rra-ar0120nm.htm
good luck with your build |
| +1 for the SSA and Palmetto state lpk's. You can get a an SSA-E (SSA ehanced -crisper break) with a magpul moe grip and lower parts for $230. Not much more than $200 really. That's a spankin' deal compared to buying it all separate. Even if you don't go with a Geissele trigger, at least check out palmetto's lkps-best deals in the market IMO. |
