I have all of a sudden developed a loading problem with a 20 round mag. that I have had for years.  The other day I was shooting and I loaded the mag. and dropped the bolt and instead of the round going into the chamber it got stuck on the ramp.  The bolt did not drop all the way and the ramp left an indent on the bullet.  I tried the same mag. several other times with different ammo and the same thing happened.  All my other mags work with the same ammo and I have not had any other feeding problems with them.  Could this be a spring problem?  I don’t think it is the follower because the mag. never used to do this.  Has anyone else had something like this happen?

Could be bent feed lip/lips that are pointing the round at a bad angle.

You've positively Identified that it is bad.  I would shit can it, and move on.

hmmm, I will check them later to see if that is it.  I am trying to move on, but it makes me sad to just toss a mag. out...

I am just glad it happened at the range and not in a self-defense situation.

This is why I say to Toss it out.  Or at least paint it orange and throw it in the garage!

Replace the spring and follower with a known good pair, and see if the problem continues.  Once you have narrowed it down, either keep it, or mark it as a training/ range only magazine if it is still causing problems.
