I was in a Walmart today about 40 miles from my home. It was the first time I looked at ammo in the store. They had about 30-35 boxes of Winchester .223 40rd. It was $23.97 s box. Is that what you guys are normally paying for it at wallyworld? That is no bargain at about $480 for 1k rounds.

That's what my WW wants for it. I haven't bought any, though.

There really is no reason for me to buy it when I can find Federal XM193F for $8.00 per box right down the street from there...

But to make up for the ridiculously high price they made it inaccurate as can be.

Where can I find a calculator like yours? If it was $23.97 for 40 rounds, then that is almost 60 cents per round before tax.

Even if it was $480, that is still a ripoff compared to the high $400ish it can be found for here in the EE.

How about $39.97 for 100? Which is what I paid yesterday at Wally World.

I've never seen the 40rd boxes, the stuff I usually go for is the 100rd fed packs for $39.97.

yeah i get the 100rd federal packs too, but they are hit and miss.  Usually you have to call every day to get some because they only come in about every 2-3 weeks and sell out within a few hours.  my wallyworld does not stock the 200rd packs.

Local Wal-Mart had 300+ (30,000 rounds) of the 100pc Federal .223 yesterday (Dunwoody, GA).  They had lots of everything except .45
