I am looking for a good 22lr conversion for my AR.  Can anyone recommend a good one?  After firing 20-30 rounds of ferocious .223 my shoulder is black and blue.  Also, my poodle cannot take the noise.  He ends up shedding all over my pink, heart-shaped comforter.
Thanks, rugfed.

I just ordered a M4 .22LR upper from Spike's Tactical (www.SpikesTactical.com).  They also sell full size magazines (27 round) in .22LR.  I thought about a conversion kit but have read about a lot of problems with them, and they tend to lead up the .223 barrel.  With the upper you have a dedicated .22LR conversion and it has the correct twist for .22LR so it is more accurate than a kit.   It costs more than a kit, but I think if you are going to shoot a lot of .22LR, it is worth it over the long haul.  Just my opinion of course.

Just get a .22lr ceiner kit and install it in your upper instead of your normal bolt/carrier.
Their are 10rd mags that should help you to be California compliant.
