Who makes a good kit and what are your personal experiences with them?

I'm tired of replacing my "stash" so I'm going to shoot 22lr for the time being.....maybe longer, I was shooting my Walther P22 today and forgot just how much fun it was and how practical it can be for practicing.

Check out the Ciener kits (just don't buy from him--most say he's a bit of an a$$ and has poor service so just get his kit from a dealer...)  If you check out the Rimfire & Pistol Caliber AR15 section you'll see tons of info on this conversion since it's very popular right now with ammo prices going up and Black Dog Magazines hitting the masses....(just check over there and you'll understand all that)

I just got mine in today from Brownells.

My cost was $115 with the 10rd magazine.  Im going to be buying Black Dog mags in the future so I didnt see any reason to pay the outrageous price for the Ciener kit with the 30rd magazine.

It was getting late so I only got 50rds of CCI Minimag and 50rds Remington Golden Bullet thru it - zero problems.

Shoots left for me though....

Stay away from his web site!!! He has NON EXISITANT customer service as in you will never get a hold of him. Buy it from model 1 or Cheaper than dirt (I wish I had).

Yes. it's a good kit, just don't use it with remington ammo.  Bad feeds all the time.  I tried Federal's ammo, from the guy shooting next to me, and it loaded perfectly.

Shot another 200 rounds thru my kit - ZERO failures.

This thing rocks.

I adjust my sights a little better.....it doesnt shoot left as much as I though.

I had a dedicated upper built by Kurts Kustoms in FL. Had a 11.5 barrel with a bushy flat top on it. Worked great on my Colt M16.

I had the same experiences with Remington ammo.  Federal only for both my kits (AR15 and 1911)

I got both of the kits through Brownells.

Good luck!
