I bought a Tactical Sol. dedicated 22Lr upper for my AR today.  Well I get home Clean it and put it on my lower to test it out.  First 3 shots it will eject the spent round and chamber another round but will not recock the hammer. After that it would not feed another round into the chamber without working the charging handle several times.  I've only put 6 or 7 rounds through it and am very disgusted.  Do I need to work with it and let it break in or take it and get my money back and wait for a Spikes?

They have pretty good customer service. That said, I had a TacSol barrel that was crap. They ended upper trading me out for a PacLite upper. I'm not a fan.

All the 22lr uppers are finicky about the ammo they function well with.  Try some CCI minimags or the Federal bulk packs and it should run fine.  Then try different ammunition until you find the ammo that it runs well with and shoots accurately.

I have a TacSol that it runs flawless with the Fed Bulk packs and it is also fairly accurate.  It is extremely accurate (Not Anschutz accurate) and runs well with the Wolf Match Target ammo. It is also very accurate with the PMC Moderators (Subsonic) but hiccups from time to time.

I tried the Rem. bulk ammo for the first couple of rounds then switched to CCI minimags.  I think I'm going to take it back and let the guy I bought it from look at it and see what he thinks.  Maybe I can get my money back and just order something else.

Try some federal bulk pack before you give up on it.

Look for a burr on the chamber due to dry firing.

Most 22lr upper are picky with ammo and even more with a over power
hammer spring in your lower.
I have hammer springs of many makes and none of them have the same strength.

I've looked and don't see any burrs anywhere.  I'll try some more types of ammo in the next couple of days.  Need to pick up another hammer spring and weaken it a bit and see what that does.
