I had an 21" OLY SUM upper for short while. It was very accurate out of the box, 5/8" groups, with 120 gr. Win factory ammo, at 100 yds. with a bipod and bag and using a Leatherwood m-1200 scope. No problems with functioning with the 80 rounds I put down range.

Edit- I was using a pneumatic buffer and the recoil was felt the same as a .223

The two things I didn't like about it were: ammo not readily available commercially (might be better now) and the mags only hold 5 rounds.

I went to the LR308 instead- ammo available or can reload your own, mag capacity up to 19 rounds,  rounds have higher energy.

More energy?   What kind of loads are you running out of your LR that will give more energy than a .25 WSSM?    I have run my 120 grain factory loads over the chronograph and they are running just under 3000 FPS out of a 22" barrel.  I don't know of any .308 Win. that will put out that kind of energy.

I think most of the magazines are now 7 round (converted 20 round .223 mags)

A few 308 loads that meet or exceed your criteria.

Hodgdon Varget 47.5
F210m
Sierra 110 Varmint
Win 3200 fps
Very Accurate Varmint Load, 2.650" COAL
(admittedly probably will not stabilize very well in a LR308 barrel, but who knows, worth a try?)

Alliant Reloader 15 46.2
CCI BR2
Lapua 155 Lapua
2920 fps
Very Accurate in 25" 5R bbl, .3 MOA at 300m, 2.800" COAL

Hodgdon Varget 45.5+
CCI BR2
155 SMK Lapua
or Win 2950+ fps
Jerry Tierney Palma Load
(Charge varies with lot)

All verified loads from good sources.  Competition loads, admittedly a tad on the heavy side.
Currently I have been playing with Varget around 43 to 47 grains and 150, 168 and 175 Sierra Game Kings and Match Kings, according to reload manuals.  Pretty stout rounds and very accurate.  Haven't put them over a chrony, but I figure they are pretty close to the load above and running 2900 +-.

I don't load my own so everything I shoot is commercial. Using the commercial load data (I know, YMMV), the .25's ran on the low side of the .308 values as far as foot- pounds of energy. I haven't checked lately because I have no need, but when I had the upper,  there were only three commercially available loadings.

120g 25 WSSM energy at muzzle 2383lbs
150g 308 Win energy at muzzle 2648lbs

I didn't look up the 175g Match loads but they are probably higher yet.
