Lauer has two new camo patterns out.

Advanced Tigertsripe
I havent seen this one before but I really like it. I ordered a template today when I get something done in it I'll post it.

Advanced AmStripe
I've seen this version of the AmStripe on a limited run of AR's Lauer did last year and it looks impressive in person.

A lot of those patterns look too busy and have lines that are too small to be effective camouflage, I suspect.

That said I have a Lauer painted AR and think it lookes really cool,

i dont think any of them look very practical. You need flat colors and not as aggresive patterns i think.

Pretty, but I can do something just as effective (if not moreso) with two or three $3 cans of Krylon.

I get red x's, but you suspect wrong.  The most exhaustive study of camoflage in history proved the exact opposite of your theory.  CADPAT.  Pictures say a thousand words.

I just did an M1A stock for a friend of mine.  I call it dragon stripe.  The pink is actually a tan color.  I like how the stripes flip as they flow from back to front.  I did this one in Alumahyde as I wouldn't be able to fit it in my oven (I normally prefer the KG gunkote product).

Wonderful at close range.  At long range it will blend into one apparent color.  It is easy to make a camoflage that works in a woodland enviroment.  I can lay down in a forest in solid OD and you won't see me unless I move.

Dragonfly, now that is cool looking! Keep up the good work; nice pattern, how about try options in other color schemes?

"The most exhaustive study of camouflage" was done by the country that can't keep it's helicopters in the air and it's boats on the top of the water?

Like Mossy oak, looks neat at 10 feet, but if it doesn't have large sections of varrying color at long range it'll blob into one green guy shaped gob. Look at predator camouflage.

Course that stuff may work great against night vision or something. I'm only really interested in hiding from little woodland creatures, not so much a Mechanized Infantry unit.
