Wich do you guys like?

I have a single point sling on my Defender 2000 M4
I order the PR4 mount from LMT and a BlackHawk Bungee type sling

wich turns out to be made by Tango Down like my Grip?
( wish LMT would state that in there catalog )

On my other LMT M4  VLTOR/Bushy lower

I use a USGI Top Sling Adapter, regular GI Sling and Para cord to FSB

I like the  2 point set up better than the single point

It depends on the application at hand IMO.

I mean there are some advantages to single point slings but their main purpose is weapon retention, not necessarily carrying/patrolling. Best for when shooting all day long and/or when you may need the ability to transition from shoulder to shoulder.

The two point sling allows for you to hold the weapon more securely and move about in more of a hands free way. Much better for carrying the weapon for long periods.

That was why I developed the Summit Tactical Sling. It gives you the versatility and ability to switch according to the situation.

In general, I prefer the two point sling, but they both have advantages.

They both have a place. 2 point is better for all day, single point is great in tight quarters, like vehicles, but you will want to walk with a hand on the gun so you dont rack yourself.

I just finished a patrol rifle class with a 3 point w/out a quick release buckle on it. So when we had to transistion to our support side I had to un-sling the rifle.

There were alot of guys with just a 2 point and it worked well for them. No single points so I don't know how they would of worked.

Single point is more versatile from a shooting perspective (particularly for left/right transitions) and is less likely to get in the way... I have a Spectre single-point to which I added an HK-style hook, and I like it a lot.

I had a 3-point Spectre sling for a while and it always got in the way of the bolt release on my AR.

I've tried single and 3-point...like single point much better.
I didnt like 3-point because of all the straps going everywhere, and it would get in the way of the bolt release.

I shoot in a carbine "training/practice" group once a month and a sling is required.
I've been using a blue force gear SOC-C (set up as single point) with a DD burnsed loop.
Works great for strongside-to-weakside shooting, and hangs to the side for transitions.

Have not tried 2-point, since single point does everything I need it to do.

I've had and used all three types of slings, and have fallen back to a two point sling... the best of all the slings in my Opinion.

I have two-point and single-point.

I really prefer the single point a lot.

I got a Vickers sling and really do not like it.  I also have the Blue Force Gear UDC sling which is a single point but with the fastex you can use it as a 2 point also.  So I have it set up so if I know left to right transitions are going to be taking place it is a single point, for the rest of the time unclip the fastex and put the end on the mount at the rear of the DD literail and presto, it's a two point.

FMJ.  How have you been?  I use the Vikings V-Tac and have no issues with it.  By far my favorite sling.

If you want to try a one point sling, you most likely already own several.  Check your camera bags or surplus satchel bags, they usually have adjustable carry straps with spring clips on the ends.  Some military style rifle slings are also configured this way. Just open up the adjustment loop until it will fit over your shoulder, clip the fixed end to your sling loop.  Move the other clip out of the way.

I found a sling I liked and just cut the extra clip off.  If you keep the other clip, you can still use it as a 2-point sling or bag strap.

Amen on the VTAC. The padded strap really helps when you have the weapon on for hours on end. I use it with 550 loops through the QD hole on the CTR stock and in an improved loop around the back of my rail.

I really like the quick adjustment...pull on the webbing and it cinches right up....yank of the 550 cord and out it goes. A real boon when you transition from ready to admin and when you have the rifle slung to the back in movement.
