Lol, a 6 ton boat and other random shit.

Was looking at 250's as that's what I've had for 12 years but found a deal on a 350 so jumped on it.

300 needs to be 9"!!!

My Home build is 8.3" and my Honey Badger is 7".  I am not unhappy with either.  9" is a good length though.

I mean, it's tits. It's hysterically fun to shoot with the Nomad 30 on it. Normally there's just about no way I'd take off ears when shooting a centerfire anything, can or no can...with this thing I can take off both muffs and plugs and not really have any issues shooting a full 30 round mag of subsonics. No pressure feeling, no slight ringing, no nothing like that. I know it's probably toeing a line and I shouldn't do that very often, but still....

And, even with the abbreviated recoil system of the PDW stock, it functions just fine with supers and subs, without an adjustable gas block. Supers with the can pop out around 2, subs with a can pop out around 3; supers without a can pop out around 3, subs without a can pop out around 4-4:30. I dunno how it got this goldilocks gas thing going, but it did...

It's an Arfcom (New Frontier Armory) billet lower I won, a New Frontier Armory billet upper to match the lower, I think an 8.5" barrel that I'm having a hell of a time finding the order for ...

And, waiting for the barrel to show up:

The stamp for it came in before the barrel It'll have a 9.5" barrel and it should be stupidly quiet and pretty fun. I'm trying to figure out a good optic for it now...I'm not expecting it to ever shoot past 100 or 200 yards max, super OR sub...thinking I might put a 1-6 or 1-8x LVPO on it.

@JohnnyUtah427 Is that a Lancer rail? If so how do you like it? Curious about the inner diameter too if it can fit a Sandman S.

Yes…the Gen2 Lancer CF handguard.  I like it.  It has 2 screw mounting bosses that barely sit on the Sandman S, but other than that it’s got the room.  No issues with POI shift or anything, so it’s not really pressing down on it.   No issues removing and installing other than a little scratch added to an already used up can so it’s no biggy.

Solid, I'm digging the idea of throwing more rail space out with being able to fit a Sandman S in it. What's your barrel length 9"?

Yes.  9” barrel.   I too wanted it for more rail space.  I shoot subs 90% of the time, so I’m not worried about it getting too hot.   The carbon fiber feels really good in the hand btw.  Post up pics when you get it assembled.  What you installing it on?

Going back and foroth between a RISIII and this so I'm not sure yet but I like the fact I could get the can tucked in for more real estate for PEQ15 and maybe even a clipon, it's going with a 10.5" Noveske .300 barrel.

I went the full size rifle route for this build.  It's stylized, but comfortable to shoot.  The anachronistic chainmail grip is light weight, quiet, grippy, and fit to my hand...  so, stylized, but still functional.  (And it is a convenient place to tuck in and retain the allen wrench for the adjustable gas block.)  That bit of rail is for a bipod when bench shooting.

At some point I'd like to change out the scope mount.  It's a good mount, but the nuts interfere with the side charging handle just a bit.

Pistol grip is Blackwood Trading Co., as is the stock, but the carving on the stock is my own.

Faxon barrel, Griffin Rev 9 suppressor.

Trijicon Credo 3-9x 40 SFP scope, green precision hunter MOA reticle

This was my best 5 round group at 50 yards...rounds 61-65 here:

ARC action on black friday sale - $900; $799 + tax + shipping, etc
Barrel - $600; $565 + tax + shipping, etc
JTAC Screech Owl chassis - $535; $510 + shipping
TriggerTech "Special" - $180; on sale

This puts me at around $2200 for the build. Cheaper than a Q Mini-Fix, on par with a Christensen.

NFA-ing it added:

PMM "Kate Moss" stock - $288; $275 + shipping
NFA tax - $200

Before NFA tax it was almost exactly $2500 with the stock; after NFA tax, $2700

So still cheaper than a non-NFA Q Mini-Fix.

I looked at the Savage as a quick start thing, and it had a lot of things I liked, but the bolt handle being on the wrong side killed it for me...if I were a lefty I'd probably love it though.

I had it painted without the black first.  I like the depth that adding the darker color gives it. I've come to find normal black rifles so boring. Also this gets a lot less hot out in the sun.

early 2000s inspired with a twist.
14.5 P&W Ballistic Advantage 300 blackout barrel, Liberty Precision Machine FH, low pro gasblock under KAC rail, YHM R9 suppressor with PlanB mount, PA 3x optic, A2 upper, Griffin A3 grip

Fun to shoot but the quad rail is bulky, might put the reg clamshell ones back on and hit it with krylon. What color tho?

Let’s see what it can do at 100 yards. My PCS 300 BO with 190 subs at 100 yards is doing about a 50 cent piece. My current 1x4 isn’t cutting it for 100 yards (dam old eyes) so will be bumping that up shortly.
