| OK! got a little money saved up. i want a ar in a 308cal.. i love the DPMS platform, but i'd rather build my own.. But i dont know where to start. any help? or would it be better/cheaper to purchase the DPMS?(if i can find one)? |

IIRC the Fultom Armory Titan in .308 is based off of the DPMS design. Haven't seen too much info on guys piecing them together. You might want to check a few forums up (Variants). If this is your only choice on getting a lower then it looks like a very spendy route. I've built 3 AR-10's (Armalite/Eagle Arms) and by watching carefully I only have a little over $750 to $800 in each (all three are a10(T)s) |

Sorry, all of mine are sitting half way around the world while I'm enjoying an all expense paid vacation thanks to your tax dollars. The receivers I picked up here and there. They used to go for $250 but the current going rate is $165 to $180. DSG is listing them in stock. The uppers came from Armalite during the "Gone Wild" sale for $450 each. A mix of standard A2 and collapsable stocks came from here and there. They were between $40 and $60 during the "Gone Wild" sale. Lower parts kits are $87 from DSG (standard) and Armalite was selling the NM kits for $130. Armalite's sale page is down right now but keep an eye on it. Stuff usually goes cheap and fast when they update it. |
