I want to replace the gas block on my DPMS 308 AP4.

My questions are the following...
1) Do I need to buy a 308 specific gas block or do I just need to make sure the gas block is the correct size? (I believe it is .750, correct me if I'm wrong)
2) Does the 308 use a thicker gas tube or is it the same as a typical AR15?

Thanks for the help guys.

In case anyone was wondering, I want to get rid of the front sight gas block and add a low profile gas block so I can extend my rails out past the block.

Most bbl's are .750". You need to check to see what size your bbl is at the gas port in order to figure out what gas block you can get.
If your using an Armalite/Noveske bbl, then get an Armalite AR-10 gas tube.
If your using a DPMS LR-208 bbl, use a DPMS LR-308 gas tube.

OK, so there is not difference between a ".750 gas block" and a ".750 308 gas block" ????
