just to save me the time of searching, anyone build a 308 AR? whats the costs of parts and where did you buy it from,

I just finnished a basic 20" build for around $650 and an M4 build that was probably around $900 when it was said and done.

also does anyone supply stags left hand upper receiver? I looked on stag's site but all I could find was their complete upper assemby

You should go over to the AR10 site, I have built some using a stripped eagle arms lower and a complete Armalite 20" upper, total cost about $1,200 but you can do the DPMS 308 for less than an AR.

You can do it cheaper than that. Eagle lower stripped 165.00 at DDs Ranch.
Upper complete at Armalite on wild sale for 475.00.
