If you want to use pmags go with the AR10A route.

First determine if you want the SR25/DPMS/Armalite10A pattern or Armalite AR10.  The first allows use of Pmags!  Next determine what you want to use it for.  You can go 16" and have more of a fighting rifle or 24" for added velocity shooting to distance, hunting is possible with any though the 24" will be damn heavy.  A good barrel will be just as accurate no matter what length.  I went from 24" bull to 18.5" medium wt profile.  Huge weight difference, some loss in velocity but much more functional IMO - could be used for fighting, 3gun, precision, and hunting.

Don't mean to thread hijack, but what kind of groups are you getting with that bad boy?

I was looking at building a very similar rifle, but with the 20" Rainier Ultra Match.  You've made my decision a little easier!
