I need some advise. I just built a 308(cmmg lower, fulton upper and barrel, rainer bolt). When I got done with the build I took out and shot it with no issues. It fed fired and extracted. I had to take the forearm off and return it(that was another post). When the new forend got here I put it back together now if I let the bolt return slowly it will not chamber the round all the way. if I let it slam it will chamber the round but it takes a lot of force to  extract the unfired round. My reloads will not chamber at all. I'm guessing its a headspace issue but why would it change after just changing the forearm and barrel nut.
Thanks

Is the gas tube dragging on the carrier key? If gas block is poorly aligned, it will cause the gas tube to drag, slowing the BCG as it chambers a round.

Also be sure to run the BCG wet until it breaks in, then you can back off on the amount of lube used.

I checked the gas tube and I wet the BCG alot.

Did you have the BBL. off ?

How many rds. were through the rifle before you removed & replaced the HG. ?

If you slowly release the BCG ,it will hang up most of the time .

If low rd. count ,its going to be tight .

Check your reloads, may be a COL problem or case sizing problem .

No,less then 10,yes. I'm using a Lee dies never had a problem with other calibers. I checked the COL on my reloads. Ithappens with factory loads also but its more noticable with the reloads.

Hiya!  try some factory stuff first. On your other post bout the troy being loose....what did troy find out and how did they solve the problem?  Mine didnt have a tab like the 6.8 I showed you.Mine is still tight with the two lil bolts though....i guess time will tell?

I tried some factory stuff and it shot alright but there is what I think is an ejecter mark on the brass. But no other pressure signs. I am ordering my comp in a week or too I then plan on doing more shooting with it. I am going to an advanced AR armor school this week and I am going to take the 308 and check the  headspace.Troy replaced the forend with a new one and it fits alot tighter. They also sent along one of thier new mags(nice suprise). Troy was very easy to deal with.
