I have a DPMS LR-308. I have the cleaning kit that comes with the gun, but it would be nice to have brushes that fit the bolt carrier. Maybe that's a better question, what do you guys use to clean the hard to reach spots on/in the bolt carrier? Like will a 223 chamber brsh work?

I cut the end off of q-tips and use forceps as a handle. You can turn the q-tip all different directions to get down in the bolt carrier. THis is good for getting around and behind the chamber and lugs. Otherwise, I use an Otis kit for teh majority of my cleaning. I've also found that various sizes of shotgun mops and brushes can be helpful. |
