I've been interested in the 6.5 Grendel cartridge for quite some time and have been acquiring components; my three rifles are now built, but I still need optics for the Precision builds.

16" Infantry model:

AA M4 profile CMV barrel; I had ADCO reprofile the barrel in front of the FSB. It will be interesting to see how closely the elevation wheel matches the Grendel trajectory.

16" Compact Sniper model:

Standard AA Hoplite barrel. Considering the Vortex Viper PST 2.5x10-32 scope for this build.

24" Sniper:

Standard AA Hoplite barrel, custom brake. I will use this rifle in my club's 1,000 yard Tactical match. For the optic I'm thinking the Vortex Viper 6-24 PST would be good.

Wow cool. Have you ran them?
I'm still having issues with the just one I assembled.

The 24 looks like a nice gun.   Hope it delivers.

Not the 24". The others function fine. What's up with yours?

That 24" one is super cool! You did a fine build. Have you had a chance to run it? What loads are you favoring? And of course, is it for sale?

A lot of times this

Or this

These were workups with XBR and Nosler 120 BT's
I had some other ammo with 28.5 XBR and Sierra 107's
They seemed not to do this only shot 5 but accuracy was crap, in previous outings they were excellent.
I removed and replaced gas block to ensure it was lined up right, it was.
I've never had these issues with 5.56 builds

Problems get fixed through standardization and volume. The Grendel has had issues like these. I've had a few barrels that didn't generate back pressure with standard loads. The barrel may need to go back. I've had a few bolts break as well.

I'm shooting Service Rifle now. So, my Grendel projects have been sold or put on hold.

If you find any loads that work well, please post them in the reloading forum.
