it is from DSG arms...it fits in my mag well (bushy M4) but its real tight and it takes two hands and a lot of pulling to get it out. I tried sanding down the top of the mag (sides) and it helped a little...but still is not the right fit...any one else come across this? |
| 40 round mags vary a lot, from "really good" to "total POS". Do you know who made yours ? Is it steel (magnet sticks to it) or aluminum (two 30 rnd mags welded together) ? I'd say, so long as its smooth on the inside and the feedlips are robust (not thin crap) then the mag should run OK provided you replace the follower and spring with MagPul follower and ISMI 40-round spring. As for the tight fit, my 40-rounders from PMI were also tight - I just sanded them until they were loose enough. They still don't drop free, but for me thats not important. |
