Ive had my eye on picking up a set for my sbr but there's a huge price difference between brands that make them.
Dueck Defense RTS sights are $238 Then you have some on Ebay that are $29.40 Tell me. Why should I shell out enough money for my next tax stamp for sights that are made for and will be used for 25-50 yds or less? Ready, go |

Buying those would be buying an inferior unlicensed knockoff and you would be supporting China and criminals. |

patiently waiting (hoping) for Magpul to get into this niche... +1 I have everything magpul on my rifle... seriously considering getting a pair of angle rails to run my MBUS at 45 despite how ugly it looks. KAC and Dueck make quality offset sights. Why do you insist on a MagPul brand? |

Because they release things like a 40 round pmag with a marketing message that is the equivalent of giving the middle finger to CO State Govt. and i would expect an offset sight of their to fill my needs of backup with a perm mount optic while NOT jumping out of helicopters or dumping my rifle in a barrel |

| I have the XS XTI sights, and they work very well for 25-50 yards. Only thing I don't like is that they are VERY low profile, which means you have to rotate your head forward to see the clearly. They hardly weigh anything though, and have few if any snag points. They're also tritium vial equipped in the front and only cost $150 or so. |

I'm under the impression that 45° sights are to be used as backup for magnified optics. On an SBR, I'd opt for a QD sight mount and regular folding or fixed irons. I'd suggest getting a 45 degree offset mount with whatever sights you want, rather than a sight with a built-in offset. More choices. |
| Sights, like the Magpul MBus on a 45 degree mount will sit higher than standard offset sights. You will have to adjust your cheek weld a bit if you go that route. I tried that setup already. I almost tried Daniel Defense offset mounts with Troy micro folding sights but they would be about the same cost as the KAC 45 degree offset sights. |

If they made an offset mount that angled down, like the knights armament sights, then the MBUS would work a lot better. As for the guy that thinks sights shouldn't be polymer, I've had zero issues with my MBUS. YMMV. |

Can somebody post the link to the comparison that showed the Magpul BUIS won on durabiliy over several metal sights? I've read it, but can't find a link to it here or vie searching :-(

Pure shit compared to other offset sights out there, and obviously not designed for use by humans with normal sized heads. Great concept, terrible execution. I'd love to have an XS rep come in here and explain how the hell they decided that was the right design to release. KAC for flips, Dueck for fixed. I have 3 sets of the offset sights from KAC, and they are great. They attach very solid, are out of the way, and since they're based on the KAC micro, when they flip up, they do it consistently and solid. |

I like having offset irons directly over bore line. Dueck Defense simulate A2 sight system, plus similar cheeck weld to buffer tube stock.

I ordered the $30 GTD version of the sights to test to make sure I like the angled irons before I invest in the Dueck ones. Also on the hunt for a front MBUS in FDE and budget angle rails to try that setup. What scope are you running? I'm looking at a 2-8 or 3-9 Nikon. |

Those are very cool, I'm just concerned about the flip out mechanism. I first thought that but their made to be tucked and deployed under optics so I think their more protected and less obtrusive vs any other 45 buis. The videos show that the whole flip out assembly is spring loaded too, plus lifetime warranty. |
