My 605 clone uses a 604 type upper. I have another barrel waiting for the modified XM16E1 upper receiver.

The original 605 (and some 604s) were produced with both the standard 604 receiver and the modified XM16E1 receiver. This photo on RBR has a 605 with the 604 receiver.

I'm not into 605's (thank God), but that is a really nice 605 upper...

If I had not already bought my 605 receiver from NDS I'd be bidding on the original receiver. But it will likely go for more than my checkbook can handle right now anyway, so I'll just sit back & watch the auction.

I also have an NDS-605 for my 605 build.
I'd love an original, but my current retro funds are non-existent.
I recently went on a 3 week retro spending binge that's left me with a negative retro budget. (hence my selling some extras)
It sure was fun, and it has been like Christmas around here the last couple of days.
If this was listed 2 weeks ago I'd be bidding pretty high.
