Which branches of the US Military used/tested the 605?

US Navy SEALs for one (maybe only?). See the back cover of Kevin Dockery's book "Special Warfare, Special Weapons".
The photo has been around, and I have seen it here on AR15.com too. It has a nice line-up of arms on display, including the 601/2 they used, and in there is clearly a nasty looking little 605. |
| There is some suggestion that US Army Special Forces personnel also tested it, but I'm not sure how valid that may or may not be. The CAR-15 Carbine (605) was not tested during the SAWS trials in the mid-1960s, though the CAR-15 SMG (607) and Stoner 63 in the carbine configuration were. |
