I've been pondering the 636 lately, and was looking at the sole photo in the Black Rifle II. (Below)
I noticed something I hadn't before.  Screws?  In the slip ring?  Am I seeing that right?  Is that somehow holding the suppressor in? or. . . ?  How would you take the handguards off?  Or would you have to remove the screws first?

Anyone know what's going on here?

Secondly, does anyone have any photos of the business end of one of these?  I have a few shots squirreled away, and while some are great photos, they're all from the sides.  No shots of the front of the suppressor.  If memory serves, someone on here had one that I used as ref in my old 633 thread. . . UXB, or Whoopiewagon maybe?

Thanks guys.

The one your thinking of in the old thread is mine.

It's not made like the one in black rifle, it is just a copy with an old school can with a ported barrel and brillo pad packing.
what looks like a slip ring is a barrel nut/ tube coupler. the hand guards are heavily modified and the end cap holds them on.

I know this didn't help with your question because i don't know what the screws are for as i have never seen a real 636 but it most likely works kind of the same way.
I don't have any pics of the business end at the moment but i will try to get you some soon.

The 636 was used by the DEA's Clandestine Laboratory Enforcement Teams (CLET).  They were particularly worried about the fumes in meth labs igniting from gunfire.
