I looked and couldn't find this posted anywhere so hopefully someone here can help out.
I just picked up an R6550, serial # GS0064XX and would like to find out a little more about the rifle. Specifically I am curious as to current value, date of manufacture etc...... I know I got a deal, I paid $800 and it came with the 6222 .22 conversion kit, 10 magazines of various manufacturer, a scope and handle scope moutn as well as 750rnd of ammunition. It is definitely a pre-ban model and not the R6550k that normally comes with the conversion kit. Has the bayonet lug and bird cage. This is only the second Colt in my safe and I'm not sure if I am going to keep it or resale it down the road. Thanks in advance. |

This site says that it was only produced for three years (1988-1990)...........THAT DOESN'T SOUND RIGHT..........but, take your pick.
