So I posted a thread about this awhile back, probably let it go to the archive. I knocked this 6.5 build together during the Panic.
Its a 24" Black Hole Armory barrel, was the heavy bull profile and I had it turned down. A Geissele SMR MK2 13" forend (so happy with forend) Double Star 6.5 Grendel marked lower, A2 stock, Geissele S3G trigger, DPMS 308 A2 Flash Suppresor, ADM 20 MOA mount and a Bushnell HDMR scope. The first couple times I shot it, it was every where, shooting like 3" groups. I was very upset and thought I had really messed this build up. Today I took it out with a new load. I turned a couple 5/8ths inch 5 shot groups, my excitement for this build went through the roof!

There is quite a bit of slop between upper and lower.  |

I wouldnt worry about the slop, it annoys me, but I have never had it be a problem. I stuck an accuwedge in this one to make it tighter. Earplugs are cheaper. yes sir they are, and while I have your attention, is there a way for me to polish or otherwise finish my barrel with it in the receiver? The guy that did it for me didnt charge me anything, but he left it rougher looking than I wanted. Should I just tape up, what I dont want blasted on the exposed parts and bead blast it? |
| not sure how to describe it, I wanted to pay for the job and have it done the way I wanted but he insisted to do it for free, so was not much I could say about finished product, I will try and PM you a close up in a couple days. I was going to pull it and send it off somewhere to get touched up, but I set the barrel with Loctite sleeving compound into the receiver and with it shooting this good, I dont want to pull it for cosmetic issues. |

What kind of velocity are you getting out of it? at 1 gr higher(over max) and a 123 gr Nosler OTM I was getting a 2635 fps, accuracy was terrible and getting erratic high pressure signs. I backed off a gr and got great results but I have not chrono'd yet |

Good to see. I have been waiting for a month so far to get my 6.5 Grendel Barrel from Black Hole Weaponry to finish my build.  I have friends waiting since December for 6.5G barrels. I ordered from CSS in December, saw this one months later on the EE and snagged it. Best bet is watch the EE and sell boards on other forums. |
