Just to be clear, to convert an AR-15 in 5.56 caliber to a 6.8 SPC all I need is the correct barrel, bolt and magazine, right?

Your muzzle device will also differ. You can't use standard 5.56 1/2x28 threaded muzzle devices - you'll be moving to 1/2x36 or 5/8x24, depending on who's barrel you get. Of course, some barrels come with a muzzle device already attached.
