| Do you need specific mags for 6.8 or can you use or modify a 5.56 mag? I'm asking because I'm in MA and we have an AWB in place. If I can use 5.56 mags I might build an upper in 6.8. |

Just ran the CP llc 6.8 SS mags trhough at the range. They work like they look and feel....beautiful. Simon Simon, Thanks. The feedback on our new 6.8 in stainless steel magazine has been very good. We have shipped all back orders and now are running stock. Larry C products www.cproductsllc.com |

I have both PRI and CP 6.8 mags and no, the 5.56 mags will not work. IMO get the cheaper CP 6.8 mags. All three of my PRI mags needed the feel lips tweaked and while not a big deal, why pay more for a product that will rust more easily and may need tuning? The PRI mags are not bad mags by any means (and you can get them in neutered capacity from Midway if you cannot get full-caps as you indicated) but if you can get the CP mags, I would. If you cannot get the full caps and must get the limited capacity mags you are not going to be wasting your money on the reduced cap PRI mags that Midway sells. They are very good but if you do have some feeding problems like I did (left side only) you may need to open up the feed lip. Just use a smooth jawed duck-bill pliar to adjust the height the bullet exits the mag. Once I got the angle of dangle correct they feed just fine. |
