New to the site but have a question about the 6.8 SPC that seems to have a perpetual question mark over it.
Does anyone know if the .223 lower can accept the 6.8 upper from RRA?
I tried buying a box of ammo from the local dealer but it appears the 6.8 isn't popular yet the civilian market, and there fore do not stock that ammunition.
I know Barrett developed it and there are a few others that have jumped on the band wagon, DPMS & RRA for starters.
But as I stated I am a newbie and still have not sighted in my NcStar scope on my XM4 bushmaster.

Let me know what ya all think, YF

The 6.8 upper will drop right on to the lower. You can buy mags for the 6.8 or get followers to replace the ones in your .223 mags. Make sure you get a complete assembly the bolt carriers are the same but the bolt is different.

See "AR Variants" under the AR15 section.  6.8 is fully discussed.

Yup...

side note....if you invest in a 6.8 upper from Stag, it comes with a 6.8 mag.

the only physical differences between a 5.56 AR and a 6.8 AR are the bolt head, barrel, and mag. The recievers are the same
