Hello
I am building a 6.8 for some hunting and range fun.  I have a 16" AR Performance barrel.
In need of a bolt to complete the build. Have plenty of carriers and other parts req'd.
Trying for the AR performance bolt but out of stock every time I check.

What would be a good bolt to buy for the build?  Does it matter which one I use?
Also is their any in stock anywhere?
Thanks
AJJ

Personally I would wait for the ARP bolt.  They are made from 9310.  Others should work fine, but I want the strongest bolt possible for pushing hot reloads.

Are they considered that good?
Could I use a standard bolt and push some hot loads thru until ARP comes in stock?
Or would there be issues with that or swapping bolts to an ARP bolt later?

The ARP bolts are cut slightly different so they are a bit beefier as well as the slightly stronger material.  I have not heard of anyone blowing up any of the other bolts.  If I couldn't wait for an ARP bolt I would look for a LWRC Advanced Combat Bolt next.  Then I would look for a Noveske, Stag, or any of the other big companies.

LWRC makes a good one also if you don't want to wait.  I like the ARP bolt better due to common extractor use.

ARP is doing a lot of bolts over the next few weeks to month just wait it out he has a back log to run through first.

Thanks, I will look out for them.
How is there a backlog? Meaning backorder?
I didn't see that option when I got my barrel.
Is there one for Backorder that I missed?

The site says you can add it to your cart. But I don't know how their site works.

ETA: I just ordered one from them, and everything went through. Expect delivery next week sometime according to ARP.

They must have been added recently. I checked around lunch time, and they were out of stock, even on the 5.56 bolts.

Their inventory is live, only shows what they have on hand, if you can add it to your cart you are good.

That being said, I am waiting on my bolt from last week, so they do have quite a bit of back log going.
