[ARCHIVED THREAD] - 6.8 ejector ?

Should the 6.8 ejector stick out of the bolt face as far as the ejector does on the 5.56 ? Anybody got a close up pic of one,

It was the extractor. Now is there a difference in one for the 5.56 and the 6.8 SPC. The extractor from my 5.56 works in my 6.8 with dummy rounds. I won't pull the trigger on a live round till I find out for sure,

There is a difference between a 5.56, and 6.8 extractor. That said, there are guys here on ARFCOM who use 5.56 extractors in their 6.8s with no problems.

ETA:
There is a thread on page 2 in the Variants forum that I started about 6.8 extractors. Randall from AR15 Barrels posted some really good pics showing the differences between them. Look for "Who has 6.8 SPC extractors in stock" as the thread title. Sorry, I don't know how to hotlink.

Open mouth and insert foot. It turned out to only be a bent mag lip. Now maybe I can fix it . I have more just don't want to trash it yet,
