I know this is a newbie question, but what is the difference on 6 Pos Stock Buffer springs. I just built a new lower unit and installed a new 6 Pos Stock. The new stock came with 2 buffer springs. I always thought that one was just an extra. After a closer look, I noticed that the springs are different lengths.  One is about an inch longer.

They are still sealed in the plastic, so I doubt that one of them was stretched. So guys, answer this noob ??? What's the difference?h.gif

One is for a full length stock and buffer, other for carbine (collapsible). The short one is for carbine.

That doesn't sound right. I mean both springs came with the 6 Pos stock.  Why would they include a full length stock buffer spring?

The thing that does'nt sound right is the fact that they sent you 2 springs with your stock.

There are 2 different length recoil springs used, one for the fixed stock and one for the collapsable stock.

The one you need for your collapsable stock should measure 11"

I had the same deal, got a cheap 6 pos stock at a fun show and it came with 2 springs...one is only half inch or so longer.

Just bought 3 better 6 pos stocks and they came with one spring each.   Maybe we got early xmas presents
