Since I joined in 2007 I have dreamed of owning an AR. Well life didn't work out as much as I wanted, I could have done this in 2008 or 2012-now. So now in 2014 I finally have achieved my dream, almost. I am still waiting for the trigger to come in.

Don't knock me for the BUIS, I'm going to buy some magpul ones soon. As welll as a red dot.

Anderson Lower
CMMG LPK
MOE+ Grip Grey
CTR stock Grey
"Generic" buffer tube, spring, buffer
ALG Combat Trigger (waiting)
Magpul enhanced trigger guard
BAD lever
Ambi sling plate (waiting)

Used upper
DPMS 16" 1:9 5.56 barrel chrome lined
DPMS BCG
BCM Gunfighter charging handle
AAC Blackout non mount flash hider
Yankee Hill LPGB

What I want to buy:
Sprinco buffer spring
Spikes ST-T2 maybe
Magpul AFG2
Magpul MBUS
Primary arms red dot, or vortex strikefire

So far this is just a "mock up", I am waiting for a vise to come in so I can torque down the barrel nut and install the gas tube, drop the trigger in then should be GTG.

I'm open to suggestions, let er rip.Ignore my mess and please remember I am on a budget.

Looks good to me, especially for a first build.

Are you planning builds 2-6 yet?

Already thought about a 300 blackout, ar pistol, a dedicated .22 upper which might as well be a whole gun! I feel addicted. lol

Don't knock them too hard. I put a 9" Pro quad rail (I wanted to line it with Magpul  panels in a camo pattern) on my son's dedicated .22lr. It's VERY sturdy and feels good. I'd recommend them all day long.

I don't knock them, I don't have anything bad to say but other members here will bash them all day long without even touching one or seeing one in person.

mikeroq, Well Done !  I like your rifle.  the Forearm you linked has actually gotten a lot of good reviews here.

Your choice of Optics is good too.  PA's red dot sights are actually pretty damn good, and don't rule out the Vortex Sparc, it's a really nice unit.
