I have no instructions with the jig. The big holes measure 5/8". I'm thinking of plunging a 5/8 drill bit with a drill press. Any advise if this will work. Thank you

Match drill size to the appropriate hole size, and you're good to go. Make sure you know what your depth is (don't go too far). then use an endmill on for the other guide plate. (cncguns.com has some general dimension references avail for download) or with a little searching you can find some here too.

If you use a drill bit you're going to make quite a mess.
Think end mill.

Hi Vaderspade uses a $4000.00 mill and a different jig. The instructions I have for this 6 hole jig say use a 5/8 bit to hog out then use a 3/8 end mill. Mama won't let me buy a mill...yet.
