Hey all, long time lurker, first time posting. Just finished my first build / first AR Pistol (3rd AR now) from an 80% lower. Pretty stoked about how well it turned out! 100 rounds through it so far with zero malfunctions.

It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be, spent many nights here reading every 80% post I could find beforehand. Had absolutely no prior milling experience. Did the milling on an ancient, worn out mill at work using a jig. Took about 6 hours total. Only times I messed up were when I started going too fast. Assembly went fine following the assembly threads. One big concern I had was about the overall pistol reliability, but with the 10.5" and standard carbine buffer it's been flawless Didn't notice any difference in muzzle flash or noise compared to my carbine either. Highly recommend building one if you're thinking about it!
