I found the old archived thread on comparing the Easy Jig to the Modulus Arms jig.  I wondered if anybody has any new thoughts on the two jigs.  An AR-15 and AR-10 jig from Easy Jig is about $122 cheaper than the same setup from Modulus Arms.  That big a difference makes it hard for me to justify buying the Modulus Arms setup.  Especially as I'm retired and on a fixed income.  Modulus Arms offers a discount for military/vietnam vets but it's really an insult.  $4.50 off an order of $442.  That's a whole one percent.   I can almost buy a cup of coffee with that savings!
Given all that, can someone out there give me a real good reason(s) for going with the Modulus Arms jigs?

Thanks,

Darrell

Steel Vs. Aluminum, I own both and the Modulus is hands down my favorite.

Modulus Jigs worth the extra money in my opinion. Thought I would only use it once. Boy was I wrong. I've used it 3 times and several friends have borrowed it too. Good way to grow the 80 percent world. The more the better.

Modulus has a 10% discount for .mil.....not 1%.  Don't believe me check their FAQ.

So so it's really more like a savings of 10 cups of froo-froo Starbucks coffee

I've got the Easy Jig, not the Modulus.  While I suppose that steel might hold up a little better, the Easy Jig has survived it's use unscathed.  You just have to be careful and take your time.

Darrell,

The veteran discount is 10% off any regular priced items. The jig is currently on sale for $50 off which is why the discount did not kick in on that item. The $4.50 discount would have been 10% of the $44.99 fabrication tool kit.
