I got one the same way, missing the hole. It is easy to add. I also noted the little vent (?) hole missing from the fence, near the pivot detent spring. That won't affect anything. I would still buy more Anderson lowers.

I recently got two from Anderson (forgings) For $90.oo shipped They are very nice … but oddly (I think?) the bolt catch plunger holes were un drilled I like the fact theirs have no spam on them |

Have you called Anderson on this to let them know? I would assume that one of their CNC programs may be skipping a step. |

This is heavily discussed in the following post....Missing Holes....about 2/3's down the post is a picture where I show the hole that is missing
"I just looked at my newly acquired Anderson 80% and was surprised to see I also had the "missing hole". I inquired to Anderson what was going on and they said this was their version of an 80%, it was what they and the BATF had agreed on in their "letter". It would have been nice if they had described this on their web site rather than everyone find out the hard way such as machining and Ceracoating it and then finding out it has to go back in the mill." |

Sorry its hole not holes
I considered calling them on it but it was no big deal to drill On my jig and probably others or all That is the second locating point … so the hole / location is on the side plate. I just have to remove the pin in the side plate - use that hole to drill it - replace pin and press on. Had to do some asking around to find out the depth. (I think it was .470) |

I have purchased several, Billet: Coats Carbine, TR Enabling, Ares and in Forged: TM and Anderson. If you want the best deal, go with the Anderson. If you're capable of milling the final 20%, drilling one extra hole is not an issue. The 80% is top notch machining and they are a nice clean slate to work from. Couldn't beat the deal before I think it was $40.50 shipped. That being said, milling 80% lowers is not for saving money and building on the cheap. PSA has forged 100% lowers for $50 shipped, no milling required. It would suck to spend $100+ on a lower and mess up milling and be out that $100, so if that's your reason for searching for a deal, then go with the Anderson's.
There have been a LOT of 80% threads lately, if you come across any issues, PLEASE post. The problems and solutions will benefit us all. ETA: Link to Range Tool Lowers Anodized RT 80% $65 |
