Why is it that vendors who sell the drill bits and tap to build up a 80% AR-15 receiver almost always never mentions about the tap for the pistol grip?  Sure, there's that big tap for the buffer tube, but that's not the only part of the receiver that needs drilling and tapping.

BTW, what tap and drill bit do you need to complete the pistol grip hole?

Why should they? They are supplying the drills and bits that are difficult to obtain and they probably figure that someone attempting to complete an unfinished lower is going to have a set of blueprints and will see that the grip screw hole is required to be .218" diameter and tapped with a 1/4-28 UNF thread - both of which are commonly available at most home improvment or hardware stores.
