I've seen the 80gr ammo listed on Ammoman and the ad mentions "match throated barrels".. What is the difference between 80gr & 77gr? (Beside the 3gr weight)

80gr must be single loaded (it's too long to fit inside magazines).

Top is 77gr.

Bottom is 80gr.

80gr bullets won't chamber in any of my AR's without a bunch of help from the forward assist... and that is BAD.

Yeah, they shouldn't readily chamber in a firearm with a normal 5.56 chamber. They aren't meant to be fired out of them.
