So I think I know what I'm looking for but I thought I would ask the collective before I dive into it this weekend.

I frankenbuilt a 9mm AR pistol.

Relevent specs:
CMMG ramped bolt
Promag adapter block (plastic)
Heavy Buffer (9mm-Q) & wolf spring kit
uzi mags

The problem:
ejection and feeding.
When I load single shot, the bolt will strip the round off the mag and feed fine.  Fires fine.  Upon ejection the case barely makes it out of the receiver, falls straight down.
When loading a few rounds in the magazine it seems to still load fine but stovepipes everytime, sometimes trying to feed the next round as well which makes a clusterfuck.

I'm guess that my Heavy Buffer is actually too heavy or the spring is too stout, or both and I'm seriously short stroking.  Sound right?  IIRC there are weights in the buffer I can take out to lighten the load?

Are you SURE the ejector is hitting the cases? Might need to adjust(bend) it. Those cheap mag blacks are a PITA. I would ditch it and get a good aluminum one. I did, and I now use a Spike's, and have never had a feed or extraction problem. I am also using their ST-9X 9mm extra heavy buffer (7.8oz.) and JT extra power spring, so I seriously doubt your buffer is too heavy, unless your using some underpowered ammo.I also have a CMMG bolt,so that is good. You might also want to try different mags. I never used the Uzi converted mags, but ASC and Metalform are GTG.

Hmm.  I am not sure.  Maybe I'll put some layout fluid on the extractor and see if it makes a mark on the case.  Thanks.

Are you seeing any wear on top of the magazine/bottom of the bolt? The mag block could be out of spec causing the mag to seat to deep. The bolt could be riding on top of the mag causing drag, which in turn could cause extraction issues.

I run a spikes 9mm set up and have never had a single feeding issue and this is with a multitude of different ammo.

Start with making sure the eject finger is high and tight to the slot on the bolt to get maximum contact with base of case to send it on it' way out of the upper.

Look in the upper and watch the eject finger appear as bolt pulled back manually
