| I have a colt sporter 9mm with a2 stock.I'm changing it over with a factory colt adjustable stock.My buffer in it stock is long compared to the new stock.The long one seems to hit in the collasiplbe stock? Will the short one work with 9mm? |
| Link doesn't work .When I put the long one in jams pulling it back The short one seems to be fine.i haven't short it yet I see the differance now .The long one is a 2 buffer.Short one is a car style.So the car style with colt car stock will work fine with the 9mm? I didn't no if the made a special 9mm buffer to work with car stock? |

The A2 buffer will not work with a CAR stock and the CAR buffer wont work for 9mm. The 9mm buffer is MUCH heavier and neccessary to a 9mm conversion. Adco has the buffer you need |
Nope the A2 is all you need with an A2 stock. As far as whiz bang super secret buffers......answer in search of a question. |
You are insane man. If you aren't running an A2 stock, then you really need a heavy buffer and the heaviest for 9mm use is the Q buffer that Slash sells on the EE. If you are running F/A and a collapsible stock then the Q buffer is an absolute must. |
The standard A2 buffer is very similar in weight to the 9mm carbine buffer.

I looked at that chart and I could have sworn it was closer to the Q buffer. My mistake. So I retrack my statement. New statement : If you want to run a 9mm upper, get a Q buffer to save major wear and tear on your lower reciever (especially trigger and hammer pin holes). It is basically required for full-auto. |
