Just like my AR Chronograph Data ( www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=3&f=16&t=329951 ), here are some actual data from various length 9mms. To note, the CZ 2075 RAMI has a 3" barrel, the Kel-Tec P-11 has a 3.1" barrel, the CZ-75B has a 4.72" barrel, the MPA-9 (M11/9) has a 6" barrel and the UZI has a 16.1" barrel. There's also some 7.62x25mm data on the bottom if anyone likes CZ-52s. I'm a huge Česká Zbrojovka (CZ) fan; so anything made by Česká Zbrojovka I purchase (notice the two Česká Zbrojovkas in my chrono data). That being said the CZ-52s are nice handguns for range time. The single action trigger is VERY heavy (12 lbs ish I'd guess) on all four of my CZ-52s. 7.62x25mm can be a super accurate round if you purchase Sellier & Bellot 85gr FMJ ammo (0.39" groups @ 25 yards this morning). The Romanian 86gr FMJ 80s surplus grouped about 3" @ 25 yards and 50s Bulgarian 86gr FMJ groups around 4" @ 25 yards. The round is fast but has horrible terminal (wound) ballistics. I've measured 54" of penetration with both the S&B FMJ and the Romanian 80s FMJ with zero deformation of the round (though it does yaw twice). If you stick a flak vest, wood or metal in front of the FMJ it'll tear and expand like a SP, so it may be a good round (the FMJ anyway) to shoot against armored subjects (but why would I drop my AR-15?). I have not tested the newer Wolf Gold 7.62x25mm HP rounds so that might be an option if you're looking for a non-range gun. I'd recommend the CZ-52; in fact, I'm debating if I should order 2, 4 or 6 more to add to my Česká Zbrojovka pile |

I too have a CZ52 and a bunch of the Romanian ammo but I'm not too accurate with it. The reason I bought a CZ52 was I thought the ammo was interesting. It would be interesting to do some testing with the available hollow point 7.62x25 considering how fast it is. Also, my CZ52 and I would imagine all CZ52s run like machines. After at least 3000 rounds I have never had a single jam or hiccup with it. kc, thanks for posting the info. |

CZ 75 19 round and 16 round magazines do not seem to run as 100% as the CZ 2075 14/10 round magazines...just for any of you CZ shooters 2. Federal Hydra-Shock 147gr JHP and Remington Golden Saber 124gr JHP run 100% in a super dirty CZ 2075 (I kept it dirty, dry and stuffed with clothing lint to see how she would run) 3. The average velocity of all my CZ-52s running Romanian Surplus (22/84) 86gr FMJ is 1613.73 fps, 73.83 ES, 22.35 SD....obviously different barrels / guns give different velocities with the same ammo 4. All my CZ 52s (I have 6) grouped 3.25-3.5" group size at 25 yards except serial V16xxx shot a 7/8" group at 25 yards! Obviously if you look at the chrono I had a good 10 round group of rounds, but 74 fps ES and 22.93 SD was achieved on several other random 10 rounds of 7.62x25mm...is there such a thing as designated marksman pistols? |
