| A friend of mine is getting ready to retire after 27 years of service with the CA Dept. of Corrections. He told me the other day that one thing has always wanted is a M16 Replica of the A2 he carried in the USMC when he was a young man. I want to help him with this dream. I already told him that it cannot be a Colt, since all Colts have been deemed EVIL by the Socialist Replublic of Kalifornia. But if there is some way I can get pieces and parts to build one I would like to assist him in his endeavor. The one thing he was adamant about was the triangular hand guard. I cannot find anyone that produces the triangular guards. Can you guys point me in a direction to get this started? He is retiring in April, so I have a bit of time to do this. |
| If you are looking for a retro upper and lower, I hear Nodak Spud is the place to go. Hopefully they are off list for you Cali guys. |

Did he want a replica of an A1 or A2?

After reading your link, I am thinking he is referring to an M16A1. He was in the USMC in the late 70s/early 80s. So I am sure he was mistaken when he said he had an A2. I will talk to him more tomorrow and get some more info. |
