I have a Nice heavy barrel A2 upper that is very accurate with the irons alone. I'm thinking about putting a scope on the carry handle.

Any experience here? Acuracy issues? Pricing?

My range is 150 - 200 yds max

I know the scope will be sitting high, so I plan on replacing the buttstock with a cheek weld that is raised.

Thanks dudes.

Aside from being unpopular with the tacticool crowd and looking a bit odd, there's nothing wrong with it.

If the mount has any slop it may affect accuracy and zero will not be repeatable if removed.

The only issue with the high scope is that virtually none of the BDC reticles and elevation knobs will be regulated correctly unless it's spec'd for a carry handle mount.  The rifle will tend to shoot higher at very close ranges but that's small beans IMO.

I've been using some sort of carry handle optic since I've had an AR...everything from a tiny fixed 4x20mm to a tremendous 8-40x50mm.  No problems, no issues, all sub MOA capable...though low powered optics make precision groups at distance a bit tougher to accomplish, of course.

Check out this monster

That was back in tha day.

I want to find high quality carry handle that will match up perfectly with an F marked, taller front sight base.

I purchased an upper from Bravo.
But..
Bravo's out of their stock, so I am apprehensive about purchasing from another supplier. Who has what I need?

Forget cheek weld, learn chin weld.
